ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
WE ARE BACK FOR 2022!
The McCreary Maple Syrup Festival Committee has been planning our 2022 festival for April 8 & 9th. Last year, was our first ever virtual festival, with limited in person activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, we are back to in person and are currently preparing an excellent festival experience while following all health guidelines. McCreary's Manitoba Maple Syrup Festival celebrates by experience - the local producers, the culture, the heritage and the land that dominates this region. Check out our program under the schedule tab to see what our 9th Annual Festival will have to offer! We are a green festival so we encourage people to bring their own mugs, water bottles and to recycle. A Manitoba Maple Syrup Festival water bottle or travel mug will be available for purchase on site. |

"The Manitoba Maple Syrup Festival committee understand that McCreary is located on Treaty 2 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinabe (Ojibwe) and the homeland of the Metis Nation. McCreary is close to Manitoba House where Treaty 2 was signed in 1871. Local indigenous peoples have been tapping Manitoba Maple trees for eons in this area. It is thanks to our indigenous friends that we enjoy the wonderful gift of maple syrup. Our annual festival aims to facilitate learning and entertainment that helps to honour and respect this fact."
